We're Looking for Experts

 We invite our pawnbroker members to apply as speakers for this year’s event and contribute to the growth and success of our vibrant community.

Who should apply

We are looking for knowledgeable, experienced pawnbroker members who are excited to share their expertise, success stories, and strategies with fellow members. If you are passionate about helping others navigate the challenges and opportunities within our industry, we encourage you to apply.

Topics of interest

Presentations can cover a wide range of topics relevant to the pawnbroking profession, including but not limited to:

  • Industry Trends & Innovations: Insights on new technology, emerging customer expectations, and how to stay competitive.
  • Operations & Best Practices: Practical tips on loan structuring, pricing, inventory management, or customer service.
  • Compliance & Regulation: Guidance on navigating complex regulations and keeping up with legal requirements.
  • Marketing & Branding: Strategies for enhancing your brand, building customer loyalty, and reaching new markets.
  • Financial Management & Profitability: Financial strategies for sustained growth and effective expense management.
  • Success Stories & Lessons Learned: Personal stories or case studies that provide unique insights or inspiration.

Session format

Each session will be 1 hour.  Meeting room with screen, projector and microphone will be provided.  Q&A is encouraged but needs to be within the hour session.

proposal requirements

To submit a proposal, please provide:

  1. Speaker Information: Full name, contact information, business name, and years in the industry.
  2. Session Title: A compelling title that reflects your topic.
  3. Session Description: A brief description summarizing your presentation and key takeaways for attendees.
  4. Speaker Bio: A short biography highlighting your experience and expertise in pawnbroking.

 

Submission Deadline

Please submit all proposals by January 15, 2025.

Send your proposal to Christy@nationalpawnbrokers.org with the subject line “Conference Proposal Submission – [Your Name].” For questions, contact Christy via email.

 

Selection Process

All proposals will be reviewed by the conference planning committee. Selected speakers will be notified by March 1, 2025.  Speakers that are chosen will get 1 hotel room night at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel during the conference and 2 Braves tickets for the game on Monday night.
